http://www.shaxichina.com/about/jianchuan-town.htmThis is the county seat of Shaxi Valley and is located 30km North of Shaxi Old Theatre Inn. There's not really much to see or do in Jianchuan. There is an "Old Street" which features everyday local shops, and some very ordinary scenery and food. Jianhai Lake is pretty, but pales in comparison to Lijiang's Lashihai, or Shuanglang and Dali's views of Erhai Lake. Best to skip Jianchuan and find more interesting destinations.
